Vijayadashmi , vijay means win and dashmi whivh is known as ten days celebrating the victory of god on evil and vijaydashmi is also known as Dusshera. Dussehra marks the end of Durga Puja, where Goddess Durga defeats demon Mahishasur to help restore Dharma. We celebrate this also as navratri in which sattva, rajas and tamas Navratri divided into three categories -The first three days of Navratri are Tamas – where the Goddess is aggressive, like Durga. The next three days are Rajas – where the Goddess is gentle, like Lakshmi and the last three days are Sattva, related to knowledge and enlightenment, like Saraswati. Means if one invests in any one quality one will be powerful in a certain way. The day also marks the victory of the seventh incarnation of Lord Vishnu i.e. Lord Rama when he killed demon Ravana and later handed over the throne of his kingdom Lanka to his brother Vibhishana. On this day we all loves to eat sweets and gather on place to celebrate the festival by burning crackers.
It is my personal advise to you people that celebrate this festival with your family and keep a distance from crackers, it harms
